HÀ NỘI — A recall programme has been launched to check Honda CB1000 Hornet motorcycles.

The National Competition Commission under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) announced that it had received a report from Honda Vietnam Company.

The recall has been launched to inspect and remedy issues related to the gear-shift bolt and insufficient engine oil on Honda CB1000 Hornet motorcycles imported and distributed by Honda Vietnam in Việt Nam.

The affected vehicles include nine two-wheeled motorcycles manufactured between February 2024 and June 2025, belonging to the Honda CB1000 Hornet CB1000SPS line.

Of these, three units remain in dealer inventory, while six units have been sold to consumers.

The company will provide inspection and corrective measures for products of the same model code imported and distributed by Honda Vietnam, as well as those of the same model code that were not imported or distributed by the company in Việt Nam.

According to the National Competition Commission, the recall will be carried out at Honda-authorised large-displacement motorcycle dealerships (Honda Dream Wing) and Honda Exclusive Authorised Dealers (HEAD). Consumers are advised to bring affected motorcycles to these authorised outlets for inspection and repair guidance.

The programme is scheduled to begin on December 30, 2025, with repair work expected to take approximately nine hours.

All affected motorcycles will be inspected and have parts replaced free of charge by Honda Vietnam.

As part of its responsibility as a manufacturer and importer, Honda Group and Honda Vietnam have proposed this recall programme to inspect and replace gear-shift bolts and to supplement engine oil periodically for affected vehicles, ensuring safety for both vehicles and users, and delivering optimal product quality to customers. — VNS
