HCM CITY — Mastercard has rolled out Mastercard Fleet: Next Gen across Asia Pacific, including Việt Nam, unveiling a new portfolio of solutions designed to take fleet payments beyond fuel and support the full spectrum of mobility needs faced by fleet operators today.

The launch comes as fleet managers grapple with rising costs, sustainability demands and tighter compliance requirements, prompting a shift towards more integrated and data-driven payment solutions.

Mastercard said the new offerings are strategically designed to support different market maturities and customer segments, from small and medium-sized enterprises managing limited fleets to large-scale logistics operators.

Mastercard Fleet: Next Gen brings payments data together, turning transactions into actionable insights embedded directly into fleet management workflows.

Drawing on more than two decades of global fleet expertise, the portfolio combines a suite of solutions tailored to the evolving needs of fleet operators and issuers, including global acceptance across millions of locations and network-based fleet data captured at the point of sale.

The platform also delivers market-specific solutions that enable enhanced data capture at forecourts and fleet-related merchants, digitally assigned and issued fleet cards for vehicles or drivers to enable seamless contactless or mobile payments, and integration with established technologies such as mobility platforms, acquirer networks and fleet management tools.

Mastercard said the solutions allow fleet programme owners to implement smarter authorisation controls and spend policies, while providing detailed fleet data and real-time monitoring to help detect fraud and misuse, adaptable to operational fleet requirements.

“The launch of our latest suite of fleet solutions in the Asia Pacific further scales our offerings in this key segment, extending our expertise and innovation in fleet and mobility across the globe,” the company said. “This move also demonstrates Mastercard’s commitment to simplifying B2B payments by connecting fragmented commercial flows through a single, trusted infrastructure, helping businesses of all sizes grow in complex operating environments.”

Asia Pacific is the world’s fastest-growing region for fleet management, with the market projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 18 per cent through 2030. At the same time, operators are balancing cost pressures, evolving sustainability mandates and heightened expectations around security and compliance, making access to consistent and enriched payment data across fleet activities increasingly critical for scale and long-term performance. — VNS
