HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam's 2026 One Commune One Product (OCOP) Festival will be held in December in HCM City, bringing together thousands of specialty products from across the country to promote domestic consumption and strengthen links between producers, distributors and consumers, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment said.

The ministry has issued a directive to provincial and municipal authorities calling for participation in the event as part of efforts to implement the Government's policy on developing the domestic market and encouraging the use of locally made goods.

The festival, to be organised by the ministry in coordination with the HCM City People's Committee, is expected to serve as a platform connecting OCOP producers with distribution companies, retail chains and consumers, helping expand market access for OCOP and regional agricultural products.

The event aims to further promote the 'One Commune One Product' programme by creating opportunities for product promotion, supply-demand matching and brand development.

Organisers said the festival will feature nine main activities, including a 3,200-square-metre exhibition and product showcase under the theme 'Innovation from Tradition - Breakthrough to the Future'.

Other activities will include a competition for OCOP products, a forum on OCOP development and the green economy with a focus on net-zero goals, business networking events and a livestream sales and cultural festival . — BIZHUB/VNS
