HCM CITY — Fusion Hotel Group has entered into a strategic partnership with Hotel Management Japan for accelerating growth across Asia.
Fusion, with its wellness-driven hospitality concept, has a growing footprint in Southeast Asia, and the Japanese company has operational expertise in its home country.
The partnership will focus on three core areas: sales and marketing, brand and design, and human resources.
They will share customer insights, harmonise sales and marketing systems, integrate Fusion's wellness-inspired brand elements into selected HMJ properties, and introduce cross-border training programmes for employees in Việt Nam, Thailand, and Japan.
The initiatives are expected to improve operational consistency and deliver enhanced guest experiences at both their properties.
Christopher Hur, CEO of Fusion Hotel Group, described Japan as one of the company's most important strategic markets, noting that HMJ has long been recognised as a benchmark for operational excellence.
He said the partnership would provide a stronger a regional platform with greater scale and capabilities, supporting Fusion's long-term strategy of expanding its presence and elevating its hospitality standards across Asia.
Junichi Araki, CEO of the Japanese company, said the partnership would combine the strengths of two leading hospitality operators and create new opportunities for regional growth.
It would enable both companies to broaden their market reach while reinforcing service quality and operational excellence.
Fusion manages 19 hotels and resorts across Việt Nam and Thailand, while HMJ operates 27 hotels in Japan under its Oriental and Oriental Express brands besides internationally recognised franchises like Hilton, Marriott, and Nikko. — VNS
