HÀ NỘI — A four-day fair showcasing specialty products from the northern province of Bắc Ninh opened in central Hà Nội on Thursday, aiming to connect local producers with consumers through a combination of traditional retail and digital sales channels.

The event, branded as the 'Kinh Bắc Market' and taking place on Tràng Tiền Street until Sunday, is part of the seventh edition of the Vitality of Vietnamese Goods programme. It is jointly organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade's Department of Agency for Domestic Market Surveillance and Development, Bắc Ninh's Department of Industry and Trade, local authorities and private-sector partners.

The fair features a range of agricultural products and regional specialties from Bắc Ninh, including early-season lychees, U Hồng lychees, processed lychee products, Núi Dành ginseng, golden flower tea, Chũ noodles, Gia Bình black garlic and bamboo shoots.

Organisers said the event aims to help local cooperatives and businesses expand market access while promoting regional products to consumers in the capital.

In addition to on-site sales and product displays, the fair incorporates e-commerce activities, including a livestream shopping session scheduled for Friday on the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development's TikTok channel. The livestream is expected to introduce Bắc Ninh products to consumers nationwide.

Organisers said the combination of in-person shopping and livestream sales aims to expand market access for local producers while bringing regional specialties to a wider consumer base. VNS
