HÀ NỘI — French software company Dassault Systèmes showcased industrial artificial intelligence and virtual twin technologies at a forum in Hà Nội on Wednesday, highlighting their potential to help Vietnamese manufacturers move into higher-value production chains and strengthen their global competitiveness.

The first-ever 3DEXPERIENCE FORUM 2026 in Việt Nam brought together more than 700 government officials, business executives, technology experts, academics and industry partners from Việt Nam and the region.

Discussions focused on how industrial AI and Generative Virtual Twin technologies could help Vietnamese companies move beyond assembly-based manufacturing towards higher-value design, engineering and innovation.

Through its 3DEXPERIENCE platform, Dassault Systèmes enables businesses to model and test product designs, manufacturing systems and operational processes in virtual environments before implementing them in real-world settings.

By integrating modelling, simulation, data and AI, the technologies can help companies address complex engineering challenges, shorten product development cycles and improve resource efficiency, the company said.

As Việt Nam's manufacturing sector seeks to move up the value chain, such technologies could help businesses improve production capabilities, develop engineering skills and capture greater value from global supply chains.

In January 2026, the company inaugurated a Centre of Excellence for Virtual Twin and Artificial Intelligence and an Industry Solutions Lab at the National Innovation Centre, aimed at developing technical talent and promoting the adoption of digital technologies across industries.

"Việt Nam has significant potential to strengthen its position in the global industrial landscape by combining its manufacturing capabilities with advanced technologies and engineering expertise," said Ding Ming Chee, senior sales director for Asia Pacific South at Dassault Systèmes.

Through its Generative Virtual Twin solutions, the company aims to help Vietnamese organisations accelerate innovation, develop talent and create greater value across their industrial activities, he said. — VNS
