Inheriting a global heritage of over 100 years and the vision of ‘One Planet. One Health,’ Danone Vietnam is committed to further accelerating its sustainable development and social responsibility initiatives.
Danone Vietnam has recently co-ordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hồ Chí Minh City to donate 90,000 cartons of Aptamil KID UHT milk, a nutritional contribution valued at 1 billion VND, to support children in flood-impacted provinces.
Recognising the challenges in the aftermath of floods, where living conditions remain precarious and disease risks are heightened, Danone Vietnam has prioritised children as the most vulnerable group. To empower these children to recover quickly and return to school with confidence, the company is delivering practical nutritional gifts to those in the hardest-hit areas.
For this initiative, Aptamil KID UHT was specifically selected as the ideal solution. As a ready-to-drink product, it meets all food safety requirements for rapid transport and immediate consumption. More importantly, it provides essential energy and micronutrients.
Reflecting on this initiative, Trần Thị Hoàng Thư, Country Manager of Danone Vietnam Co., Ltd., shared: “At Danone, we hold the philosophy that the pursuit of both economic success and social progress go hand in hand. Witnessing the hardships faced by our compatriots, we knew immediately that we had to extend a helping hand.
We carefully selected Aptamil KID UHT ready-to-drink milk because we understand that access to clean, hot water may not be readily available where infrastructure has been damaged. This donation allows us to live our mission: bringing health through food to as many people as possible.”
This pledge was made at the recently concluded ‘One Aptamil Nutrition Universe’ event, held from December 5–7 at Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street, HCMC. The event marked a significant milestone for Danone in Việt Nam, showcasing Aptamil’s comprehensive scientific nutrition ecosystem and reaffirming the brand’s commitment to Vietnamese children.
Inheriting a global heritage of over 100 years and the vision of ‘One Planet. One Health,’ Danone Vietnam is committed to further accelerating its sustainable development and social responsibility initiatives. Alongside providing premium products, Danone aims to remain a long-term partner in nurturing the healthy and resilient growth of the next generation, especially during the most challenging circumstances./.
