CÀ MAU — The Cà Mau Provincial People’s Committee and FPT Corporation on Wednesday signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement on digital transformation and human resource development through 2030.
The partnership aims to build a digital government, digital economy, and digital society, positioning Cà Mau among Vietnam’s leading localities in digital transformation.
FPT will help the province upgrade infrastructure, develop digital platforms, and promote information security, while also supporting businesses and citizens in adopting digital tools. In education, FPT plans to invest in schools and vocational training to build a high-quality workforce.
The group will also provide training programmes for government officials, including AI-powered digital literacy courses, to improve administrative efficiency. FPT will advise on digital transformation in priority areas such as healthcare, education, agriculture, environment, and tourism. In healthcare, the company will assist in standardising medical data, implementing electronic health records, and applying AI and big data to support medical staff.
FPT CEO Nguyễn Văn Khoa said the cooperation focuses on “building quality resources, promoting technology, and accelerating education and training, with the ultimate goal of creating a better life for people.”
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyễn Hồ Hải called the agreement a first step toward concrete action, expressing confidence that FPT’s experience would help Cà Mau deliver faster, more effective services. The province also plans to pilot a “paperless Congress,” with FPT providing technological support.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to long-term cooperation under a public-private partnership model aligned with Việt Nam’s key national resolutions on science, technology, and digital transformation. — VNS
